DON’T LET LOUISIANA
GO UNDER.

VOTE YES FOR
AMENDMENT 3!

NOVEMBER 13th

Did you know that levee boards were created to prevent flooding and to protect waterborne commerce? In Louisiana, those are two of the most important issues we face!

Unfortunately, the Louisiana constitution ties the hands of some levee boards creating slow, bureaucratic processes for this crucial work. YES on CA #3 will right this wrong, and give levee boards the tools to do their job!

FAQs

What’s a levee board?

A levee board is a local government entity whose primary job it is to prevent or mitigate flooding.

Do levee boards have what they need to do their job well?

Not all of them. St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Chenier Plain and Iberia Levee Districts aren’t able to secure revenue like the other levee districts. We need to vote YES on CA #3 to fix this.

Will voting YES on CA #3 help with flooding in Louisiana?

YES! Voting YES on CA #3 will give levee boards the tools they need to protect Louisiana from flooding!

Does this constitutional amendment affect the entire state?

CA #3 does not affect the entire state. There are only a few levee boards in south Louisiana that this constitutional amendment applies to - and they need this badly! Those levee districts are St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Chenier Plain (Calcasieu, Cameron and Vermillion Parishes) and Iberia Parish Levee Districts.
